it’s a sign (traditional, words Butler/Mayfield, arr. SM)
Now Jesus was invited to a wedding feast one day
“They’ve finished all the wine” said His mother in dismay
He said “Bring jugs of water” and then He gave a sign
To pour it into glasses for He’d turned it into wine
It’s a sign, it’s a sign
It was water, now it’s wine
God loves to make things better
It was water, now it’s wine
Now Jesus once was teaching in a busy, crowded place
A man who couldn’t walk to Him was carried by his mates
They had heard of Jesus’ healing and now they wanted proof
The house was packed with people so they lowered him through the roof
He can heal, He can heal
The Lord Jesus, He can heal
He made the lame man walk again
Lord Jesus, He can heal
